Nissan Otti electrical gremlins

Hey, I'm having some serious electrical gremlins with my 2007 Nissan Otti (gasoline engine). It's got 217206 km on it. The onboard diagnostics are showing an error stored in the error memory, and I'm experiencing a general electrical malfunction. To top it off, the navigation system is completely dead. I suspect it's a software glitch, maybe the programming of the control unit is implausible. Has anyone else encountered this kind of crazy stuff? I'm worried about the repair cost; they're estimating around 240€!

Greetings. Your situation appears to mirror an issue I once encountered with a 2014 Opel Astra. The symptoms you describe – error memory, electrical malfunctions, and a non-functional navigation system – suggest a potential software fault. Was there any triggering event preceding these issues, such as a battery replacement or a recent software installation?

Interesting! No battery replacement or software installation recently. Just started happening out of the blue. When you had this with your Opel, was it also a 'programming of the control unit implausible' situation, as they're telling me? What exactly did they do to fix it?

Indeed, the diagnosis for my Astra was precisely that: 'programming of the control unit implausible.' While a recalibration or software reset might seem viable, in my case, the issue persisted. Ultimately, the most prudent course of action is to consult a qualified workshop equipped with the necessary diagnostic tools to assess and rectify the programming anomaly. Attempting a DIY solution without the requisite expertise could potentially exacerbate the problem.

Okay, thanks for the info! Seems like a trip to the shop is unavoidable. I was hoping it would be something simple I could fix myself, but I'll take your advice and let the professionals handle the software recalibration. Thanks again for sharing your experience with the Opel; it helped a lot!
