Nissan Pino Jerking Whistling Hissing Noise
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Nissan Pino is experiencing jerking during acceleration, a check engine light, whistling and hissing noises, stalling at idle, increased fuel consumption, and weak engine performance. These symptoms suggest a potential issue with the boost pressure sensor or a leak in the turbo system. It is advised to have the vehicle checked by a workshop to prevent further damage, and in this case, the problem was confirmed to be a faulty boost pressure sensor cable connection.

The check engine light comes on pretty quickly, almost right after starting the car. It has 114876 km on the clock. If it is the boost pressure sensor like I suspect, is it safe to keep driving it, or will I damage something?

With those symptoms and the light coming on quickly, a faulty boost pressure sensor or a leak in the turbo system is highly probable. Continuing to drive it with those symptoms could potentially cause further damage to the turbo or engine. I'd advise getting it checked out by a workshop as soon as possible.

You were right, it was the boost pressure sensor cable connection. The workshop confirmed it. Repair cost me 95€. I really appreciate your help!

That does sound like a potential issue with the turbo system. The whistling and hissing definitely point in that direction. Does the check engine light come on immediately, or only after driving for a while? What mileage are you at?
