Nissan Pixo BUS System Error

I have a 2010 Nissan Pixo with a gasoline engine. At 29774 km, it has sporadic errors in driving mode and error lamps. It also has failures of audio/navigation, temporary shutdowns, and unresponsive control units. Engine diagnostics reveals an error. Could this be a defective cable connection to the BUS system? Anyone familiar with this?

Summary of the thread

A 2010 Nissan Pixo is experiencing sporadic errors in driving mode, error lamps, audio/navigation failures, temporary shutdowns, and unresponsive control units. The issue may be related to a defective cable connection to the BUS system, as indicated by engine diagnostics and OBD-II error codes. A similar problem was resolved by addressing a loose connection behind the dashboard, suggesting a professional diagnosis focusing on BUS system connectivity is necessary.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hmm, sounds familiar. I have a Pixo myself. Are you sure about that BUS system cable? I had something similar with the audio cutting out and random warning lights popping up. Was really annoying. You've checked all the usual suspects like battery connections and fuses, right?

I have inspected the battery connections and fuses, finding no issues. The error codes via OBD-II indicate a more systemic problem, potentially implicating the communications network. When you experienced your similar issue, did the engine diagnostics reveal anything specific, and were the affected systems also primarily in the audio/navigation domain?

Okay, OBD-II codes pointing to a network issue definitely sounds like a trip to the workshop. Mine was indeed the BUS system, turned out to be a loose connection somewhere behind the dash. It affected all sorts of things because everything's linked these days. Best get it properly diagnosed to be sure, though.

Thanks for your insights. A visit to the workshop is warranted. The symptoms you described resonate strongly. A professional assessment, focusing on the BUS system connectivity, seems prudent. I'll report the resolution. The repair came to 155€, as predicted.
