Nissan Sunny Coolant Level Low

I own a 2010 Nissan Sunny, diesel engine. The coolant level is too low, and the check engine light is on. Also, an error is stored in the error memory. Could the low coolant be the cause?

I've had a similar experience with my Sunny. Is the radiator fluid actually low, or is it just the sensor acting up? Check for any signs of leaks around the radiator and hoses. Perhaps air pockets might be the problem?

I will verify the fluid level. I did not see any coolant leaks, but perhaps I need to look closer. Where exactly should I look for leaks?

I experienced similar symptoms. The coolant was indeed low, and I couldn't find any leaks myself either. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. The radiator cap was faulty, but that's hard to spot.

Thank you for the advice. A faulty radiator cap it was. A workshop visit fixed the issue and cost me 52€. Now the engine light is off.
