Nissan Winner air suspension issue

Hey, I'm having some issues with my 2001 Nissan Winner with a gasoline engine. It's got about 117k km on it. The air suspension seems to have completely given up. The car won't lift anymore, and it's leaning badly. I'm also getting an error message on the speedometer, plus a warning light. My low beams are shining way too high or low. I ran a quick scan, and it's showing an error related to the air suspension compressor. I checked the fuses and they seem fine. Any ideas where I should start looking?

Summary of the thread

The 2001 Nissan Winner is experiencing issues with its air suspension system, which has stopped functioning, causing the vehicle to lean and display error messages. The problem is likely due to a faulty air suspension compressor, potentially caused by a corroded or loose connection. It is suggested to inspect the wiring and plugs connected to the compressor for any signs of corrosion or damage. Ultimately, the issue was resolved by cleaning and repairing a corroded connector at a workshop.

Sounds like a faulty air suspension compressor, which is common on older vehicles with air suspension. Have you checked the wiring and plugs going to the compressor? A loose or corroded connection can cause problems.

Yeah, I did a quick look at the wiring, but honestly, I'm not the most experienced with car electrics. Any tips on what to look for specifically? Like, where exactly is the compressor located, and what kind of plug am I searching for?

The compressor is usually located near one of the wheels or under the trunk. Look for a small electric pump with air lines attached. The plug will be a multi-pin connector. Check for any corrosion, loose wires, or damage. Honestly, if you're not comfortable with electrical work, it might be best to take it to a workshop. Air suspension can be tricky.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on – it was a corroded connector to the compressor. They cleaned it up and replaced a small section of the wiring. Cost me about 95€, which is way better than replacing the whole compressor! Appreciate the help.
