Noah Alarm System Fault

I'm having a siren communication fault with my 2002 Toyota Noah, gasoline engine. Error's stored and the alarm's malfunctioning. Odometer's at 139340 km. Looks like a bad cable or plug. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my Noah. Is the alarm just completely dead, or does it occasionally chirp weakly before failing to disarm? In my case, it was like the alarm controller was struggling to 'speak' to the siren. Have you checked the wiring around the alarm controller itself?

Thanks. The alarm is totally dead; no sound at all. Can you tell me where the alarm controller is and what wiring I should check?

Ah, a completely dead alarm. That sounds very similar to what I eventually experienced. The alarm controller is usually tucked up under the dash on the driver's side. Tracing the wires from the siren itself back to the controller is the best bet. However, if you are not a proficient electrician, I would strongly suggest taking it to a workshop. For me, the cost was about 95€ to have the connection repaired.

Thanks for the advice. Given the complexity, I'll take it to a workshop. The estimated repair cost sounds right. It was indeed a defective plug connection which costed exactly 95€.
