Noah Lighting Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Toyota Noah is experiencing random lighting issues, including dashboard lights, with a diagnostic scan showing a consistent error. The problem is suspected to be caused by a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by replacing a faulty dimmer switch, suggesting that inspecting and possibly replacing the light switch and wiring could be a solution.

Yes, the fault extends to the dashboard lights as well. When the main lighting malfunctions, the dashboard illumination also acts erratically. Could you explain what checks I should perform on the dimmer switch?

My erratic dashboard lights were part of the same problem. I had to take it to a workshop, since electrical issues are hard to find. Replacing the faulty switch fixed it.

Thanks for confirming the shared symptoms and your solution. I'll schedule an appointment at a workshop to have the light switch and wiring inspected. The estimated repair cost is about 95€.

I have a Noah too, though I'm not sure of the year. Your issue sounds familiar. Does this include the dashboard lights? Have you checked the dimmer switch? Those switches can be sensitive, and a small jolt can cause a malfunction.
