Noah Tailgate Hall Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Toyota Noah hybrid's power tailgate opens only partially, with an error code indicating an issue with the tailgate hall sensor. The problem is suspected to be a faulty connection. Thanks! Was yours throwing the same error, and did messing with the connection actually fix it, or was it more involved?

Yes, same error code. Cleaning the contacts helped temporarily, but eventually, I needed to get the cable replaced. A workshop should be able to diagnose it properly.

Cheers! Took your advice and had the cable and plug looked at. Turns out you were spot on – dodgy connection! 95€ later and the tailgate works like a charm.

I had similar issues with my Noah’s tailgate. Check the cable and plug connection to the sensor first. A faulty connection there can cause those symptoms.
