Note Overheating Slow Warm Up

I'm having a weird issue with my 2022 Nissan Note (gasoline engine). It's overheating sometimes, and takes ages to warm up properly. Mileage is at 55784 km. I've checked the coolant level, and that seems fine. Could it be the thermostat?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Note. The slow warm-up and overheating point to a thermostat issue, or possibly the temperature sensor. Have you noticed if the cooling fan is running constantly, even when the engine is cold?

Good call on the fan! I'll check that tomorrow. But if it IS the thermostat, is it a big job to replace? Anything else I should be looking at while I'm poking around?

Well, I'm no expert, but from what I remember, a faulty thermostat housing can also cause similar issues. I messed around with mine for a while, but honestly, I ended up taking it to a workshop. In my case it was a defective map thermostat. I'd suggest getting it checked out professionally before you start replacing parts.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I checked the fan, and it seems okay. I'm gonna take your advice and get it checked out by a mechanic. Hopefully, it's just a thermostat, and not something more serious! I'll post what I find out.
