Novo audio system failure
Summary of the thread
The audio system in a 2015 Fiat Novo stopped working entirely, with no sound output despite attempts to adjust settings. A potential cause suggested was a defective bass speaker, which can cause the system to shut down as a protective measure. Testing the speakers with a multimeter revealed a faulty bass speaker, which was then repaired at a workshop.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't notice any crackling or strange sounds before it stopped. It just went silent suddenly. How did you diagnose the defective bass speaker in your Astra?

In my Astra, a mechanic used a multimeter to test each speaker's impedance. The defective speaker showed a significantly different reading. Given your Novo's age, it might be best to get it checked out by a workshop.

Thank you for your advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were right – it was the bass speaker. Repair cost me 280€. Appreciate your help!

I had a similar issue with my 2018 Opel Astra. Check the car speakers. Sometimes a defective bass speaker can cause the entire system to shut down as a protective measure. Do you experience crackling or any other unusual sounds before it cut out?
