NX Check Engine Light and Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Lexus NX hybrid is experiencing a check engine light and stalling at idle, with a suspicion of a fuel tank ventilation system leak, possibly due to a defective activated charcoal filter. Another person suggests checking the purge valve as it might be an EVAP system failure. Ultimately, the issue is confirmed to be the charcoal filter, which is repaired at a local shop.

Where is the purge valve located, and how would I test it?

Without the right tools, it's tricky to diagnose the purge valve itself. Given the check engine light and stalling, I'd recommend getting it checked by a workshop. Could save you time and potential misdiagnosis.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Took it to a local shop; turned out to be exactly what I suspected, the charcoal filter. Repair cost 275€.

I had similar symptoms in my NX. Have you checked the purge valve? Could be an EVAP system failure. Is the emission control system working properly?
