Odyssey radio reception issues
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Honda Odyssey Hybrid is experiencing radio reception issues, including static noise, complete audio loss, and an error message in the infotainment system. The problem is suspected to be a defective antenna. Suggested solutions include checking the antenna cable connection for looseness or corrosion and considering antenna replacement, as a similar issue was resolved by replacing the antenna. An appointment with a workshop is recommended for further diagnosis and repair.

The issue involves static noise and complete audio loss. I have not inspected the antenna cable connection, although it is a reasonable step. Have you found the antenna to be the problem? Do you think an antenna booster might help?

Yeah, I was getting static and then nothing. Tried a signal amplifier initially, no dice. Eventually, I bit the bullet and had the antenna replaced, and that sorted it. Based on your symptoms and error code, I'd say take it to a workshop for a quick check. Save yourself the potential headache.

I appreciate the confirmation and advice. I will proceed to schedule a workshop appointment. The eventual repair cost is estimated at 255€. Thank you for your help.

I had something similar with my Odyssey. Radio would cut out, especially in urban areas. Any static noise or complete dropouts? Did you check the antenna cable connection to the head unit? Wondering if it might be loose or corroded. Also, have you tried a different antenna?
