Odyssey Rear Ventilation Issue

Experiencing a perplexing issue with my 2020 Honda Odyssey Hybrid. At only 32118 km, the rear ventilation flap seems dead. The error memory has a fault, the climate control unit is acting up, and the AC no longer cools. Could it be a defective cable or plug connection?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Honda Odyssey Hybrid is experiencing a rear ventilation issue, with the climate control unit malfunctioning and the AC not cooling. The problem may be due to a defective cable or plug connection. A suggestion to inspect the rear HVAC unit's wiring harness, particularly the connector to the rear HVAC motor, led to the discovery of a faulty plug connection, which was successfully repaired.

I also drive an Odyssey and had a similar issue. Check the rear HVAC unit's wiring harness. A loose connection can cause those symptoms.

When you say 'wiring harness', could you be more specific? Did you have to disassemble much of the interior to access it, and were there any particular connectors that seemed suspect?

Yes, the connector that connects to the rear HVAC motor itself. Given the error code and cooling issue, I'd suggest having a workshop inspect it. I had a similar fault and they found a defective connection.

I took your advice and brought it to a local shop. You were right! It turned out to be a faulty plug connection. The repair cost was 95€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!
