On-board computer and air conditioning error on Renault Latitude 2015: experiences and solutions

Hello everyone, I'm quite worried about my Renault Latitude, year 2015, gasoline engine, with already 69188 km on the odometer. I keep having problems with the on-board computer and my speedometer warning light keeps coming on. I suspect that these problems could be related to an "air conditioning message error"? I've been told that this has happened before with a model from the company. Have any of you had the same problem? How did your mechanics deal with it? Did you have good or bad experiences? I'd be grateful for any tips, as my last visit to the garage didn't go so well. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I had the same problem with my 2018 Renault Megane. I also noticed the same symptoms as you, constant problems with the on-board computer and the speedometer warning light that kept coming on. When I looked up this problem on the internet, I saw that there could be a problem with the cold shut-off valve. On my last visit to the garage, they confirmed that the cold shut-off valve was faulty. It is definitely a serious issue because it affects the entire function of the air conditioning system. My mechanics replaced the refrigeration shut-off valve and everything has been running like clockwork ever since. So I would recommend you consider that as well. Don't worry, it's not the end of the world and you're certainly not the only one with this problem. So cheer up and get your car to the garage quickly! All the best!

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! It really reassures me that I'm not alone with this problem. Glad to hear that your Renault Megane is now running smoothly again. Do you happen to remember how much the repair cost you? And has there been any other defect since the cooling shut-off valve was replaced? Many thanks again!

Hey, no problem, I'm happy to help where I can! So, surprisingly, replacing the refrigeration shut-off valve didn't cost me a penny. Yes, you heard right, €0! I can still hardly believe it. Since then, the "air conditioning message error" you mentioned has also been fixed. So it seems that replacing the refrigeration shut-off valve has solved the problem. Since then, no further defects have occurred and my Renault drives like a new car again. So a visit to the garage can certainly work wonders. So, cheer up and take your Latitude to the workshop! Have a safe journey!

Wow, that's a real surprise! Paying €0 for a repair is like winning the lottery. Now I'm a lot less worried. I'll take my Latitude to the workshop and see what they say. Hopefully I'll soon be able to drive again without any worries. Thank you very much for your help and your motivating words! You've really helped me. Bye and have a safe journey!
