Onix Coolant Level Too Low
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Chevrolet Onix with a gasoline engine had a consistently low coolant level and a check engine light on, indicating a potential issue. Possible causes included a faulty radiator cap, air pockets, a coolant leak, or issues with radiator hoses. The problem was identified as a small leak due to a faulty hose, which was replaced, resolving the issue and clearing the error.

I've looked, but I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for. Are there any specific areas that are particularly prone to leakage?

In my case, it was difficult to spot. Given that you're seeing the check engine light, it is probably a leak somewhere in the system. I'd recommend taking it to a trusted mechanic for a proper diagnosis. It's better to be safe than sorry.

The coolant level was indeed too low because of a small leak. After replacing a faulty hose and replenishing the coolant, the check engine light is now off, and the error has been cleared. The whole repair cost me around 52€.

I also drive an Onix. I had similar symptoms. Have you checked for any visible leaks around the engine bay, especially near the water pump and the radiator?
