Onix NOx Sensor Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Chevrolet Onix owner experienced a check engine light due to a NOx sensor failure and suspected a defective cable or plug connection, especially with an exhaust leak present. Another individual shared a similar experience with a different vehicle, suggesting that a defective sensor connection could be the cause. The owner decided to visit a workshop, where it was confirmed that a defective connection was indeed the issue, and after repair, the vehicle was running smoothly again.

Not that I've noticed. The air-fuel ratio seems normal so far. But is the sensor easily accessible for inspection?

In my case, the sensor's connection was indeed defective. However, I would recommend visiting a workshop to be sure. I ended up paying 95€ for the repair.

Thanks for the advice. I'll take it to the shop and have them check the connections and the sensor. Turns out it was a defective connection. The repair cost about 95€ as you predicted. Everything's running smoothly now.

Hello, I had a similar issue with my 2018 Opel Corsa. The check engine light was on and the error code pointed towards the emission sensor. Was your Onix consuming more fuel than usual lately?
