Onix passenger seat malfunction
Summary of the thread
The passenger electric seat in a 2023 Chevrolet Onix stopped working, displaying an error message and not responding to adjustments. Initial checks for loose wires were unhelpful, leading to speculation about a possible fuse issue. A suggestion was made to check the car battery, as a weak battery can cause electrical malfunctions. After replacing the heavily discharged battery, the seat functioned correctly again.

Oh, that's interesting! I haven't noticed anything obvious with the battery, but now that you mention it, sometimes it seems like the car cranks a little slower than it used to. How did you figure out it was the battery? Did you have any other symptoms?

Yeah, mine was acting up in other ways – the auto start/stop was flaky, and the headlights seemed dimmer. Eventually, the car wouldn't start one morning. If your battery is getting weak, it might be worth getting it checked out. Otherwise, it could be something more serious with the seat motor or wiring. Best to take it to a workshop.

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice! I'll definitely get the battery checked out first. It's probably time for a new one anyway, with almost 217068 km on the clock. The issue was indeed the battery, heavily discharged. Replaced it and the seat works perfectly again! Cost me 290€ at the workshop. Thanks!

Hmm, that's strange. I've got an Onix too. I had something similar happen. Has your battery been draining lately? A weak battery can sometimes cause weird electrical issues with the seats. Just a thought.
