Hey, sure, I can give you the info. In my case, the cost of replacing the defective control unit was €600 in total. That solved all the problems with the battery and the flickering lights. And yes, since I had it done at the garage, nothing like that has ever happened again. In particular, the problem with the heavily discharged vehicle battery due to self-discharge was completely resolved. I would really recommend having your control unit checked, it sounds like that could be the culprit in your case too. Best regards!

Hey, I once had a similar problem with my 2016 Opel Corsa (also petrol). The symptoms were almost exactly the same: weak battery and flickering lights when starting. In my case, it was ultimately the control unit that was faulty. The control unit was read out in the workshop and it turned out that there were several error codes that pointed to the problem. This was definitely a serious matter that should not be ignored. The control unit had to be replaced and then everything worked perfectly again. If your mechanic wasn't helpful, I would recommend getting a second opinion. Hope this helps you a bit! Greetings
