Hi, thanks for the tip. I hadn't considered that it could be the wiring harness. I'm glad you didn't have any more problems. Do you happen to remember how much it cost you to replace the wiring harness? And has anything else come up on your car since then that might be related to the old problem? Many thanks and best regards!

Hello, I'm glad my tip was helpful! Yes, replacing the wiring harness cost me €170 at the time. I thought that was fair of the mechanic. As for the problems that might have arisen: Everything was fine. Since the mechanic fixed the malfunctioning coolant thermostat, everything has been running like clockwork again. I hope this helps you and gives you some peace of mind! Stay healthy and best wishes!

Hello, the price is really fair. I'm relieved that you didn't have any further problems afterwards. Your experience has definitely encouraged me to take my car to the garage as soon as possible. Thank you for your kind wishes. Stay healthy too and take care!

I had this problem, the fault was in the thermostat, I changed the thermostat and it works.

Start by checking the coolant level and ensure there are no leaks in the system. If the coolant level is low, top it up and monitor if the overheating persists. If the problem continues, consider inspecting the thermostat as it might be stuck. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

Make sure to check the radiator fan as well. If it's not functioning properly, it could cause the engine to overheat. Listen for the fan when the engine is hot; if it's not running, it might need repair or replacement. Keep me updated on your findings!

Hi, had similar symptoms with my Opel Astra from 2015. In my case it was damage to the wiring harness and not the coolant thermostat. The engine was constantly overheating and the warning lights were flashing like yours. It was a serious issue because the wiring harness is the heart of the electrical system in the car. So definitely not something to ignore. At the garage, the mechanic replaced the damaged wiring harness and there are no problems left from that time. So my advice would definitely be to get it checked by a professional to be sure. Hopefully this will help you! Greetings!
