Opel Mokka air conditioning problems that the air conditioning control unit keeps failing

Hello everyone, my 2013 Opel Mokka Diesel has recently started having problems with the fan, it doesn't work properly. I suspect that the air conditioning control unit may be faulty. Has anyone had similar experiences and could report how the problem was resolved? What steps did your garage take? Thanks in advance!

Hey, I had something similar with my 2015 Opel Astra. I have a bit of experience with cars and my air conditioning control unit was broken. My ventilation and air conditioning didn't work properly either. My garage diagnosed the problem fairly quickly and replaced the control unit. It cost me 940.00 euros. Could you perhaps provide more detailed information about your vehicle? Engine type, equipment, etc.? Then I might be able to help you more precisely. LG

Hey, thanks for the info! My Mokka has 186543 km on the clock and the last service was about 3 months ago. If your problem was solved by replacing the air conditioning control unit, that could be the case for me too. I will definitely suggest this to the garage. LG

Hey, thanks for your info! I also have an Opel Mokka, albeit a 2014 petrol model, and had a very similar problem with the blower a few months ago. My blower was also very unreliable and only ran sporadically. In my case, the air conditioning control panel was actually also defective. After I went to the garage, they replaced the air conditioning control unit, and then everything ran like new again. I also initially suspected that it was something simpler like fuses or the blower motor itself, but the workshop's diagnosis confirmed the air conditioning control unit. A tip from me: If your garage has the option of installing a used but functioning control unit, you may be able to save some money. The part is quite expensive when new, in my case it was around 900 euros. Good luck with the repair, and hopefully your Mokka will be running smoothly again soon! LG

Hey, that sounds exactly like the problem I'm having. I'll definitely talk to the garage right away and see if they can find a used A/C control unit. Thanks for the tip! Keep your fingers crossed that it gets fixed quickly and cheaply. LG
