Operation via MFL in the Seat Alhambra model year 2017: solutions and experiences

Hi everyone, I'm having some problems with my Seat Alhambra petrol model 2017. The buttons on the multifunction steering wheel just don't work anymore. I think it could be a fault with the multifunction steering wheel, but I'm not sure. Can you help me here? How did you get the problem solved in the workshop and what were your experiences? I would be very grateful for any tips or information!

Hey, I had a very similar problem with my 2015 Seat Leon. I honestly have very little experience with cars, but I'll try to explain it anyway. I went to my garage around the corner with the problem. The guys there found out that my control unit was faulty. Well, they repaired the damage and it cost me €1000. It wasn't exactly cheap, but the car has been running perfectly ever since. P.S: It would be helpful if you could give me a few more details about your vehicle, maybe then I can be a bit more specific. For example, exactly which functions no longer work? Are there any error messages? And so on!

Hi, thanks for your feedback. When I was driving today, my air conditioning went crazy and the radio keeps going on and off. Really annoying! My car now has 68547 km on it and I had the last service about 6 months ago. I hope I can get the problem fixed without having to spend 1000€. But well, let's see what they say at the garage.

Hey, glad to hear my post was helpful. From your description, it really could be control unit misfires. Especially if other electrical elements such as the air conditioning and radio are also affected. I would recommend that you don't wait too long before going to the garage. Unfortunately, these faults can lead to further problems if they are not rectified. Maybe you can get an estimate and decide from there. It was the same with my Seat, the costs were quite high, but then everything ran smoothly again. I'm sorry I can't offer you a cheaper solution - car problems can really cost a lot of money. And if it really is the control unit, it's unfortunately not that easy to repair yourself. Good luck and hopefully the repair costs won't be too high!

Thank you for your honest opinion and advice. I will follow your recommendations and get a quote first. I hope it won't be too expensive. Very annoying, such unexpected costs, but I need the car every day for work, so I have no other choice. I'll definitely take that into account next time I buy a car. Thanks again and see you next time!
