Optra battery draining
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Chevrolet Optra is experiencing battery drainage, with symptoms including error messages, weak and flickering lights, and difficulty starting the engine. The issue could be due to a defective battery sensor, as suggested by another individual who faced a similar problem. It is recommended to have the battery sensor checked at a workshop to confirm if it is the cause of the constant battery drain.

Yes, the battery drains even when the car is off. How did you figure out it was the sensor and not just a bad battery?

Because the battery was almost new. I took it to the workshop. They confirmed it was the battery sensor that was defective and causing a constant drain. Cost about 315€ to repair.

That's incredibly helpful, thank you! I'll take it to the workshop and have them check the battery sensor specifically. Hopefully, that's all it is!

I had a similar experience with my Optra. Check the battery sensor; that was the culprit in my case. Is the battery draining even when the car is off?
