Optra Camshaft Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Chevrolet Optra is experiencing starting difficulties and reduced engine power, with a diagnostic analysis indicating a camshaft sensor error. The issue could be related to a faulty cable or plug. A similar case was resolved by checking the wiring and fixing a faulty connection at a workshop. Booking a professional inspection is suggested to address the problem effectively.

The report specified the camshaft position sensor. And yes, the check engine light is on. Can you tell me more about your experience and how you fixed it?

Sounds almost identical to what I had. The check engine light and reduced power were the worst. I tried cleaning the sensor and checking the wiring, but it didn't fix it. Took it to a workshop, they found a faulty connection, and it's been fine since.

Thanks for sharing. Sounds like a workshop is the way to go. I'll book an appointment. Estimate is around 95€. Thanks again.

I have an Optra too, and had similar symptoms. Did the tool say which camshaft sensor was reporting the error? Is the check engine light on? Trying to see if it's the same issue.
