Optra Injection Problems

My 2018 Chevrolet Optra with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. It's got 142k on the clock and the injection system seems totally screwed. Fuel consumption is through the roof, power's way down, stalls at idle, and puffs out smoke when I accelerate. I reckon it's a dodgy connection somewhere.

Summary of the thread

A 2018 Chevrolet Optra with 142,000 kilometers is experiencing issues with its injection system, leading to high fuel consumption, reduced power, stalling at idle, and smoke during acceleration. The problem is suspected to be a faulty connection in the injection system. After checking the connections, the issue was confirmed to be a defective connection, which was resolved by a professional, restoring the vehicle's performance.

I had similar symptoms on my Optra. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the injectors? That's usually the culprit.

Yeah, I did a quick once-over, but nothing obvious jumped out. Where exactly should I be focusing my attention?

Mine was a loose plug on the third injector. Honestly, after fiddling around I just took it to the shop. Best money I spent. They found it quick.

Right you are. I took it in, and it was a defective connection as we suspected. Cost me 95€, but she's running smooth again. Thanks!
