Optra Steering Problems

My 2020 Chevrolet Optra, gasoline engine, 204869 km, has steering issues. Feels like the power steering intermittently fails, making it hard to turn. Also, the steering wheel vibrates sometimes. Suspect the angle sensor. Anyone seen this before?

I had something similar on my Optra. Steering felt heavy at times and I definitely noticed the vibrating. Have you checked your wheel alignment? That can sometimes throw things off and mess with the angle sensor readings.

Wheel alignment seems fine, no visible issues. How did you fix the 'heavy steering' and vibration problem?

Turns out the coding of the steering angle sensor was faulty. Couldn't fix it myself, unfortunately. Had to take it to a workshop. They recalibrated the sensor.

Thanks, that confirms my suspicion. Had it checked; the sensor was indeed defective. Cost me 195€ to replace and calibrate. Appreciate the input.
