Orlando Injection Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Chevrolet Orlando is experiencing issues with its injection system, leading to higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, stalling at idle, and smoke during acceleration. The problem might be due to a defective cable or plug connection. Another possibility is a fuel leak, as suggested by a similar past experience. A thorough inspection or workshop diagnostics is recommended to accurately identify and resolve the issue.

Thanks. Was the fuel leak obvious, or did it require specific diagnostics? I'm trying to see if a visual inspection will do before a workshop visit.

In my case, it wasn't immediately obvious. I'd advise a thorough inspection, but honestly, given the symptoms and mileage, a workshop diagnostic is probably best. It could save time and prevent further damage.

Understood. I appreciate the advice. A workshop visit seems inevitable. I'll post the resolution after diagnostics. The repair cost was 95€.

I had similar issues with my Chevrolet Orlando, though I'm not sure about the year. Sounds like a potential fuel leak. Have you checked the fuel lines and injectors for leakage or damage? Your symptoms match what I experienced before fixing it.
