Orlando Radiator Oil Pressure Issue

I have a 2011 Chevrolet Orlando with a diesel engine and 76716 km mileage. I'm experiencing a defective radiator oil pressure. Symptoms include the transmission indicator light and check engine light illuminating, the automatic transmission being in emergency mode, and the transmission not shifting as usual. I observe gearbox slippage and grinding noises during gear shifts. An error is stored in the error memory. Could a defective cable or plug connection be a likely cause?

Hey there! I had something similar happen in my Orlando (petrol engine though). The transmission was acting all kinds of weird. Lights flashing, clunky shifts, the whole shebang. Did you check the radiator coolant level? Maybe it's low, or there's a leak somewhere? Just a thought!

Thank you for your reply. The coolant level appears to be within the normal range. However, regarding your experience, did you also observe any grinding noises when the gears shifted, and was the error memory storing any specific codes related to radiator pressure?

Yep, grinding noises were definitely part of the symphony of destruction, haha. I didn't check the error codes myself, I took it straight to a workshop. Turned out to be a faulty sensor related to the radiator pressure. Best to get yours checked professionally; those transmission issues can be tricky and expensive to fix if you don't catch them early.

I appreciate the advice. A defective cable or plug connection on the component was indeed the issue; the repair cost was 95€. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
