Otti engine jerking
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Nissan Otti is experiencing engine jerking and a check engine light is on, indicating a stored error. The problem may be caused by an exhaust system leak, which can lead to misfires and rough acceleration. The suggested solution is to have a workshop inspect and repair the exhaust system, as specialized equipment is needed to accurately identify and fix the leak.

Exhaust leak, eh? Where exactly should I be looking?

Essentially everywhere from the manifold to the tailpipe. But without specific equipment, you're likely better off having a workshop inspect it. Their equipment can pinpoint it down much quicker. I ended up spending 265€ at the shop to resolve this, which at the time was worth it to not have to crawl around under the car myself.

Thanks, I'll take it in. Turns out it was a leak in the exhaust system, just like you said. Appreciate the help.

I had something similar with my Otti. Check your exhaust system for leaks. It caused misfires that felt like jerking. Think of it like a punctured balloon – the air doesn't flow correctly.
