Hey, thanks for the tip! Of course, it could also be that something else is causing the overheating in my Opel Combo. It's unpleasant that the repair was so time-consuming for you. Do you remember roughly what you paid for the repair? And have you had any problems with the car since then? Best regards!

Hey, I'd love to. Sure, I can tell you that. The repair cost me around €215 because the wiring harness for the radiator blind behind the bumper had to be replaced. It was a bit of a pain in the wallet, but since then the car has been running perfectly again. And the good news is that since the visit to the mechanic, the controlled air flap has been working perfectly. So, no more problems with it. Good luck with your Opel! Hopefully it's not too bad. Best regards!

Gosh, that sounds halfway feasible. Sure, €215.0 isn't exactly cheap, but if everything works again afterwards, it's worth considering. I'll take your advice and have someone look at it. I really don't want my Opel to have any more faults. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it goes as smoothly for me as it did for you. Thanks again for your insight! Take care and have a safe journey!

Funny, I recently had the same problem with my 2005 Opel Movano, but in my case it was the wiring harness for the radiator blind behind the bumper that was defective and causing the overheating. The indicator light was also on in my case. The repair was a bit laborious, as the wiring harness was behind the bumper and had been rubbed open. The amount of work was a bit high because they had to remove the bumper and replace the cable. But hey, depending on what exactly is causing you the stress, it could be something else. But I can tell you, it was a serious problem! My recommendation: get a professional to do a check. You don't want to risk damaging the engine. Just like you, in my case it was overheating that triggered the alarm. Hope this helps!
