Hi, thanks for the quick reply and your advice. So, besides the overheating and the check engine light coming on, I don't notice any other noises or problems. The cable connection sounds plausible, could well be that. My car was last serviced at 893 km. Do you think it would make sense to have the whole thing checked at the Mercedes workshop? Perhaps they have more knowledge about specific problems with this model series. Greetings back!

Hey, I'm glad that my tip has helped you. With your mileage, I would actually go to the Mercedes workshop. They naturally know their own brand best and can help you quickly and effectively. They also have the right special tools and original parts. It may cost a little more, but you're on the safe side. For conversions or less complex things, an independent workshop is also sufficient, but I would always go to the Frankt workshop for such special problems. I hope this has helped you a little and I'll keep my fingers crossed that your car will soon be running smoothly again! Greetings!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2010 Mercedes E-Class. However, I only have a little experience with cars, so I'm not a professional. In my case, the cable connection was defective. The repair cost me 170 euros, so it wasn't cheap, but since then everything has been running great again. I had my car at an independent garage, I've been a regular customer there for years and simply trust the guys. Could you perhaps give a few more details about your car to help you better? Does it make any other noises or anything? Greetings!
