Oxygen Sensor Heater Failure

I'm having trouble with my 2007 Peugeot 4007, gasoline engine. The check engine light is on, and the error memory says oxygen sensor heater failure. My fuel consumption has gone up a bit. Has anyone else had this issue? I checked the sensor cable and plug, but I don't see any damage.

I had a similar issue with my Peugeot 4007, though I can't remember the exact error code. Is it pointing to a specific O2 sensor, like before or after the catalytic converter?

Good question! The error message doesn't say exactly which sensor it is, just 'oxygen sensor heater circuit malfunction'. Could it still be just a faulty sensor, even if the cable looks okay?

It's possible the sensor itself is faulty, even if the wiring looks fine. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They confirmed it was the sensor and replaced it. It's probably best to get it checked by a professional to be sure.

Thanks for the advice! I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the sensor. They found a defective cable. After repairing it, I only had to pay 95€ and everything works fine now!
