Palio Engine Stalling Power Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Fiat Palio is experiencing engine stalling, power loss, and an intermittent check engine light. These issues may be caused by problems with the fuel delivery system, specifically the high pressure fuel pump or the fuel volume regulator. It is suggested to have the vehicle diagnosed by a professional mechanic to confirm the exact cause and proceed with necessary repairs.

Thanks. I haven't checked the high pressure fuel pump yet. Could a bad fuel volume regulator cause this?

Yes, my problem was a bad fuel volume regulator, which made the high pressure pump act up. I'd get it diagnosed at a good workshop. The repair was 1510€.

Thanks for confirming. I'll book an appointment with my mechanic to check the fuel volume regulator. I appreciate the help.

I had similar symptoms on my Palio. Check engine light, stalling, and power loss sounds like fuel delivery. Have you checked the high pressure fuel pump?
