Hmm, the cold start hasn't been too bad yet, but it hasn't been super cold either. The battery is the original one that came with the car. Was it definitely the glow plugs in your case? What did you end up doing about it?

Yeah, for me it was definitely the glow plugs. Eventually, the cold starts became a real struggle. I'd suggest taking it to a reliable workshop to get them checked and replaced, especially with the error code already showing up. Better safe than sorry, right?

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was indeed a defective glow plug! Cost me 440€ to get it sorted. At least the engine light is off now. Thanks again for your help!

Sounds familiar. I've got a Palisade too, and had similar symptoms last winter. Preheating lamp staying on, engine light... was it hard to start in the cold? Could be the glow plugs. How old is your battery?
