Palisade Height Control Restricted Warning

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2023 Hyundai Palisade with a gasoline engine. It has around 161443 km on it. I'm getting a 'Height control restricted' warning light. My low beams seem off, either too low or too high. The vehicle appears to be sitting unevenly, with the front axle noticeably higher than the rear. There's an error stored related to the suspension, and the ride is quite bumpy now. Could this be a load sensor issue, perhaps with the control rod? Any thoughts or similar experiences?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Hyundai Palisade owner reported a 'Height control restricted' warning, uneven vehicle height, and misaligned low beams, suggesting a possible load sensor issue. The problem was identified as a defective control rod on the height sensor, causing the uneven ride and headlight misalignment. The solution involved replacing the faulty control rod, which resolved the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my Palisade, although I didn't have the wonky headlight issue. The uneven height and bumpy ride are dead giveaways. It's probably the ride height sensor. Check the sensor arm thingy; they are pretty delicate. Is it all crusty? They get gunked up pretty easy and then snap. Have you been doing any off-roading?

When you say 'sensor arm thingy,' are you referring to the control rod on the height sensor? And no, no off-roading, just normal city and highway driving. How did you troubleshoot yours?

Yeah, the control rod thingy, that's the one! Mine wasn't snapped completely but it was cracked and loose, throwing everything off. I'd say it's time to schedule a visit to the shop; those adaptive headlights can be a real pain if they are not aligned right, and you don't want to cause an accident. Get the leveling sensor checked out ASAP.

Thanks again for sharing your experience! I appreciate the advice. I took it to my trusted mechanic, and you were spot on – it was indeed a defective control rod on the sensor. The repair cost was around 110€. All fixed now!
