Palisade Intermittent Starting Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Hyundai Palisade diesel with 167,000 km is experiencing intermittent starting issues, occasional shutdowns while driving, and rough running. The initial suspicion was a faulty starter motor, but after further investigation, it was found to be a defective fuse. Replacing the fuse resolved the problem.

It doesn't seem to be related to temperature, happens randomly. And yeah, I just visually checked the fuses, I don't have a multimeter. Which fuses were you referring to?

Okay, mine was heat-related, so maybe a different issue. I’d have to double-check but it was one related to the ignition coil. But it could be multiple issues and considering the engine shuts off randomly, it could be dangerous. I'd get it to a workshop ASAP.

Thanks! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it wasn't the starter motor! Turns out it was a defective fuse, they replaced it for 52€. Appreciate the advice!

I had a similar problem with my Palisade. Does it happen more when it's hot outside, or after you've been driving for a while? What exactly did you check on the fuses? Sometimes a visual inspection isn't enough; you gotta test them with a multimeter.
