Palisade Seat Heater Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Hyundai Palisade owner reported a non-functional seat heater with a fault stored in the error memory, suspecting a defective seat heating mat. Suggestions included checking the thermal sensor and wiring harness for loose connections. The thermal sensor is embedded in the heating mat, making it difficult to access. Ultimately, the issue was confirmed to be a faulty heating mat, which was replaced at a cost of 390€.

Thanks for the tips! I haven't checked the thermal sensor specifically, no. The error code just mentions a general fault in the seat heating circuit. Where exactly is the thermal sensor located? Is it easy to get to?

Okay, general fault... yeah, could still be the mat. The sensor is usually embedded in the heating mat itself, so not super easy to access. Given that, and the mileage, might be worth having a shop take a look. Mine turned out to be the mat, cost around 390€ to replace, parts and labor. Saved me the headache of tearing into the seat myself.

Appreciate the advice! Sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order. I'll let them know to check the mat first. Will post the resolution. It ended up being the heating mat, 390€. Thanks again!

Yep, I've had a similar issue with my Palisade. First thing I'd check is the thermal sensor. Sometimes that goes bad and throws everything off. Have you checked the wiring harness under the seat? Could be a loose connection there too. Does the error code point to anything specific?
