Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! My mileage is 22901 KM and I had my latest service just a month ago. Actually, I did get a performance upgrade from a local tuning shop about two weeks ago. The fault code showing up is P0341, and it mostly happens when the engine is cold, especially in the morning. Your Cayenne story gives me hope it might be something similar and relatively straightforward to fix. Been worried sick about this!

Hey again! Thanks for providing those details, this definitely sounds very similar to what I experienced with my Cayenne. When you mentioned the P0341 code and that it happens mostly when cold, it really clicked for me. After my experience, I can almost guarantee it's related to that recent performance upgrade. My issue started pretty much the same way, about two weeks after the tuning, and always worse on cold starts. That P0341 code is related to the camshaft position sensor, but in my case (and probably yours too), it was actually the tune messing with the sensor readings rather than the sensor itself being faulty. Just to share more from my experience, my Cayenne would sometimes stall at traffic lights after a cold start, and there were mornings when it just wouldn't start at all. Super frustrating, especially when you're running late for work! My advice would be to take it to an official Porsche workshop rather than the tuning shop. I know it might be a bit more expensive, but they really know their stuff when it comes to these sensor/coding issues. They'll be able to properly reset everything and get your Panamera running right again. Let me know how it goes, I'm really curious if it turns out to be the same issue as mine!

Thanks so much for all the detailed info! You've totally put my mind at ease. The symptoms you described with your Cayenne are exactly what I'm experiencing, right down to the stalling at traffic lights! I'll definitely take your advice and book it into the official Porsche workshop tomorrow morning. Even if it costs a bit more, it's worth it to get this sorted properly. Better than risking more damage to the engine. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and explaining everything so clearly. I'll update the thread once it's fixed in case anyone else runs into the same issue. Thanks again for your help!

Hey there! I have some experience with cars and had a similar issue with my 2020 Cayenne Diesel. The symptoms you're describing sound really familiar, my car was doing the exact same thing last summer. Turned out the third-party chip tuning was messed up, causing all sorts of havoc with the engine management system. Took it to my regular Porsche specialist workshop, and they had to reset and recalibrate everything. Cost me around 180€ to fix, but it's been running perfectly since then. Before I can give you more specific advice, could you tell me: Did you recently get any performance upgrades? Which fault code is showing up? Is this happening more when the engine is cold or warm? Looking forward to helping you sort this out!
