Panda Parking Aid Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Fiat Panda diesel is experiencing a parking aid fault, rendering the parking assistant non-functional. The issue may be due to a defective cable or plug connection. Checking sensor connections and the control module for loose or corroded wires is suggested. Ultimately, a workshop visit confirmed a faulty connection, which was resolved for 95€.

Thanks! I'll check the sensor connections. Where is the control module located? Is it easily accessible, or do I need to dismantle half the car to get to it?

Okay, if the sensor connections seem okay, but the problem persists, it might be deeper than just a loose wire. From my experience, when the parking aid throws a fit and the simple stuff checks out, it's often something that needs proper diagnostic tools. Based on the predicted repair cost of 95€, it seems that the issue is not that bad. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it checked out. It might save you a lot of time and headache.

Thanks for the advice! I checked the connections, and they seemed fine. Took it to the workshop, and you were right, it needed proper diagnostic tools. Turns out it was a faulty connection, just like the error code suggested. They fixed it for 95€ as predicted. Cheers!

Hey! I had a similar issue on my old Punto. First, have you checked all the connections to the proximity sensors? Sometimes they get loose or corroded. Also, did you check the control module for any visible damage or loose wiring?
