Parking Aid Fault

I'm pulling my hair out! I've got a 2016 Peugeot 508 hybrid, and the parking aid is completely borked. The dash is screaming about a parking assist fault, and the error memory is lit up. Anyone else run into this? Could it be a dodgy wire somewhere?

A parking aid fault can be frustrating. To assist you better, could you describe the specific error codes you're encountering? Have you inspected the parking sensors themselves for any physical damage or obstructions? Is the rearview camera functioning correctly?

Error codes? Obstructions? Rearview camera? I wouldn't know where to start looking! I'm not exactly a mechanic. Where exactly are these sensors, and is there a simple way to check the camera beyond just looking at the screen when I put the car in reverse?

I understand your concern. Based on the symptoms and your vehicle's mileage, a defective cable or plug connection is a plausible cause. Given your limited technical background, I strongly advise consulting a qualified workshop. Continuing without proper knowledge could lead to further complications and costs.

Thanks for the reality check. Workshop it is, then. It WAS a cable connection issue, just like you suspected. 95€ later, and my parking sensors are back in business. Appreciate the help!
