Parking Aid Fault

Parking aid fault on my 2015 Peugeot 207 diesel with 90493 km. The parking assistant is non-functional, and the error memory stores a fault code. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection to the parking sensors. Has anyone else encountered something similar?

I had a similar issue with my Audi A4. The symptoms were almost identical – parking sensors completely dead and an error code related to them. It's not the same brand, but did you check the wiring harness for any corrosion or damage? That's where my problem was.

Interesting! Which part of the wiring harness was affected, and how did you pinpoint the exact location of the fault?

I'm not the right person to ask. I looked into the wiring harness as suggested but felt in over my head and I eventually took it to a workshop. They found some corrosion in one of the connectors. With your symptoms, it might be worth getting a pro to take a look if you aren't seeing anything obvious yourself.

Thanks for the insight! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I took it to my local mechanic, and it turned out to be a faulty connector, just like you suspected. 95€ later, it's working again. Cheers!
