Hey, that sounds reassuring. Do you remember what you had to pay for the repair back then? And did you have any further incidents with the parking distance control afterwards or were the problems completely resolved? I'd be really interested because I really don't want to invest my money in a failure.

Hey, I can totally understand you, nobody wants to throw their hard-earned money out the window. The repair cost me €265 at the time, and the faulty sensor in the parking aid was the culprit. Since the mechanic fixed it, I've had no more functional restrictions with the parking aid. Since then, everything has been running perfectly!

Thank you very much for your quick reply and help! It is reassuring to know that it would probably not cost much and that the problem would really be solved afterwards. I will tell my mechanic about it and hope that he can solve the problem just as quickly and effectively. Hopefully I'll soon have no more worries with my parking distance control. Thanks again!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2016 Skoda Octavia, diesel. The entire sensor system malfunctioned, especially the parking distance control, just like yours. There were no major, complex electrical faults involved. The mechanics I trust first read out the fault code and then checked and cleaned the sensors individually. It wasn't a big problem for me, they got it under control pretty quickly. Hope that helps you!
