Thanks! I haven't done a diagnostic scan yet. Was the issue on your Opel Astra also related to the ABS unit, or could it be something else? And did the diagnostic tool help you to find the root cause of the problem?

Yes, on my Astra, the diagnostic scan revealed a fault with the ABS control unit, and it had to be replaced. I would recommend getting a scan done; it will save you time and money. In the end, the fault with the ABS control unit was the cause. Therefore you may want to visit a workshop to check the electronics. It could be the control unit which is affected and needs to be changed. Usually this is quite expensive.

Okay, that's helpful. I'll get a diagnostic scan done as soon as possible. I suspected the same thing. I took it to the workshop and they confirmed that the ABS control unit is defective. They quoted me 1000€ for the repair.

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra a few years back. The ABS light and traction control were acting up. Have you had a diagnostic scan done to check for any error codes? That might point you in the right direction.
