Partner Central Locking Failure

Thanks for the quick response! Yes, it does have keyless entry. I'll double-check all the fuses again, but can you elaborate on why you think the keyless entry system could be involved? Is there a specific component of that system that could cause the entire central locking to fail? And when you say 'convenience features', which ones are you refering to? The workshop guys were mentioning something about a cable or plug connection of the component being defective...

Okay, so with the keyless entry, there's usually a security system control module somewhere. These modules communicate with the door locks. If that module malfunctions (gets wet, wire comes loose, or just plain fails), it can mess with the whole locking system. By "convenience features" I mean stuff like interior lights, power windows... things that aren't essential for the car to run, but are nice to have. To be honest, if the workshop already suspects a defective cable or plug connection, they might be on the right track. I'd let them investigate. It'll save you tearing apart the interior yourself.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I think I'll take it to the shop as suggested. They quoted me around 95€ for the repair, which seems reasonable considering the potential hassle of tracking down the fault myself. Thanks again!

Hey! I also drive a Partner, but not an electric one. I had similar issues with the remote locking a while back. Turns out, these systems can be pretty sensitive. Did you check all the fuses related to convenience features? Sometimes there are multiple fuses related to the door locks. Also, does your Partner have keyless entry? If so, that system could be involved too.
