Partner clutch pedal switch issues

I have a 2000 Peugeot Partner diesel with 204067 km. I'm experiencing issues that I suspect might be related to the clutch pedal switch. The error memory has stored an error, the gear selection display in the speedometer is non-functional, the cruise control doesn't work, and sometimes the engine refuses to start. Could a defective cable or plug connection of the component cause these symptoms?

I also own a Peugeot Partner, though not a 2000 model. Your symptoms sound familiar. Did you check the clutch pedal switch itself? I once had similar issues with the gear selector and cruise control. Was it perhaps related to a faulty signal from the clutch switch?

Thank you for your suggestion. I have not yet checked the switch itself. Is it difficult to access and test the clutch pedal switch and its connections? What kind of testing would you suggest?

Access isn't too bad, from memory. However, considering all those symptoms, it might be best to have a workshop take a look. If it is the switch, the repair cost should be around 95€, depending on the workshop. Better safe than sorry, isn't it?

I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a workshop to have it checked out. It turned out to be a defective cable/plug connection of the clutch pedal switch and cost 95€. Thank you!
