Partner Defrost Flap Issue

Hey, I've got a 2001 Peugeot Partner with a gasoline engine. It's done about 158000 km. I think I've got a problem with the defrost flap. I'm getting an error code and the heating isn't great. Could be a dodgy cable or plug. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar thing with my old Renault Scenic. Ventilation was all over the place. Turned out to be a bad connection to the flap motor. Check all the plugs and wiring around the climate control unit. Might save some money before you take it to a shop.

Thanks! Could you be a bit more specific about which connections you mean? I'm not great with the dashboard and ventilation. Any hints on where to find them?

Sure. On the Scenic, it was behind the center console, near the heater box. Basically, trace the wires from the flap motor. If wiggling them makes the error appear or disappear, that's probably it. But honestly, if you're not comfortable, get a workshop to look at it. Could save you from breaking something else.

Got it. Thanks for the advice! I'll probably get a technician to sort it. At least I know a bit more now. The repair bill was about 95€, but it's fixed.
