Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'thorough inspection', what exactly should I be looking for? Any specific signs of damage or corrosion I should keep an eye out for? Is sensor calibration necessary after a possible sensor replacement?

When inspecting the wiring, look for any signs of fraying, cuts, or general wear. Check the connector for bent or corroded pins. Corrosion can often appear as a white or greenish deposit. While sensor replacement is the more common solution, further diagnostics by a qualified technician are recommended to prevent recurring malfunction. You should visit a workshop for resolving this issue.

Great, I appreciate the detailed advice! I'll give the wiring and connector a close look first, but sounds like a trip to the shop is inevitable. I got it fixed today, as you already suggested. They replaced the sensor, and it cost 95€. All issues gone now, thank you so much!

The symptoms you describe are consistent with a malfunctioning outside temperature sensor. Given the error code and associated issues, it's plausible that the cable or plug connection to the sensor is defective. Before considering sensor replacement, a thorough inspection of the wiring and connector is advisable.
