Partner electric transmission control unit issue

The issue seems persistent regardless of whether the engine is cold or hot. What resolved your issue and did it align with my suspicion of a faulty transmission control unit?

Yes, in my case, it was indeed the transmission control unit. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop. Those symptoms you're describing are like a symphony of gearbox complaints. It ended up costing me around 1000€ to repair. Better to get it sorted sooner rather than later to avoid any further damage.

Appreciate your help! Took your advice and brought it to the workshop. Turns out you were spot on, it was the transmission control unit. Cost me about the same as it did for you. Thanks again for your assistance.

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my Partner, though it wasn't the electric version. It felt like the car was fighting itself when shifting, like trying to row a boat with a square oar. Have you noticed if the problem is more pronounced when the engine is cold or hot?
