Partner intake air temperature sensor issue

My 2017 Peugeot Partner diesel, 46664 km, is showing a check engine light and reduced power. Error memory indicates an issue with the intake air temperature sensor. Engine is running rough. Is this likely a defective sensor?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Partner. The check engine light was on, and the engine felt like it was struggling. Did you notice any other symptoms? Have you used a diagnostic tool to confirm the error code related to the air sensor?

Yes, I used a diagnostic tool and it points directly to the intake air temperature sensor. The rough running is intermittent. Was your issue definitively the sensor, or something else?

Yep, it was definitely the sensor. Same symptoms as you describe, diagnostic tool confirmed it. Honestly, just get it replaced at a workshop; it's not worth the hassle trying to fix it yourself. I think I ended up paying around 150€ for everything.

Thanks for the info. I'll get the sensor replaced. Final repair cost was 155€, exactly as you predicted.
