Partner oxygen sensor heater failure

I have a 2014 Peugeot Partner diesel with the check engine light on. Diagnostics say it's an oxygen sensor heater failure, and I'm getting higher fuel consumption. Mileage is at 80287 km. I suspect a bad cable or plug. Anyone seen this before?

I had a similar issue with my Opel Astra. Same symptoms - check engine light, oxygen sensor error. Did you check the wiring and the plug connection to the sensor? That's usually the first thing to check.

Thanks. Can you tell me more about how you checked the wiring and connection? What should I look for?

I visually inspected the wiring for any damage, like cuts or frays. Then, I made sure the plug was securely connected to the sensor. Honestly, I didn't get very far before taking it to a workshop. It's probably best to get it checked by a professional.

Thanks for the advice. I've inspected the wiring as best I can and found nothing obvious, so I think I'll visit a workshop. The estimated repair cost I received was around 95€. I'll post again if that fixes the problem.
