Partner radio reception issue
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Peugeot Partner van experienced poor radio reception, with error messages and occasional audio system failures. The issue was traced to a defective antenna, as indicated by an error code in the system memory. The problem was resolved by replacing the faulty antenna, which restored the radio's functionality.

I haven't checked the wire myself, I'm not much of a mechanic. But corrosion... where exactly would I look for that? At the base of the antenna on the roof, or somewhere else?

Yup, check the base on the roof first. Rain and stuff gets in there. But if the error is stored in the system's memory, it's highly likely that the antenna itself is faulty. I suggest visiting a local workshop.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Turns out the antenna was indeed defective. They replaced it, cleared the error codes, and now the radio works perfectly. The whole ordeal cost me 255€.

Sounds like a pain! Yeah, a dodgy antenna can definitely cause those symptoms. Modern car radios aren't just simple receivers, they're often integrated into the car's computer system. Is the antenna wire properly connected? Have you inspected the antenna base for corrosion?
